I was sitting on cold grass bored. So i decided to make some mud people.Promethous carefully made people with his bare hands. Finally he finished. The mud shaped people were standing there. He sat there for quite a while before he had a big idea. So he went to visit zeus.He went up to zeus and asked him a favour.” Can u bring these people to life” Zeus owed him because prometheuos saved his life in a battle a while a go. “Yes what is it” he replied.” Can u bring these people to life” he said ” is that it. Then ok” Then he magically brought all of the mud statues to life. They started walking around working their way around the mud patch. Then the people started shivering. They were cold. So prometheous went yp to zeus again and asked him for another favour. Zeus said no and prometheous got angry at zeus. So zeus hid the fire away from prometheous and put guards in to protect it. Prometheous wanted the fire for the people desperatly so he found away. First he killed the guards then he went into the maze and found the fire at end of it. Then he took it and gave it to the people.

I think he repeated the word “I looked” because he was looking at the rotting sea and the rotting deck. Glanced could be another word to use

It’s a verb because it’s doing word and  I think this is used because it’s drawing his attention to something. I think “took” would be another word for drew because you drew your eyes away from the rotting sea.
